2010 Blackhawk Art & Wine Celebration

The Tri-Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) will unveil the 2007-2008 edition of the Tri-Valley Visitors Guide at the Spring “Get Acquainted” Mixer held Tuesday, April 17th at Bridges Restaurant in Danville. The Tri-Valley Visitors Guide is a full-color,
magazine-style publication showcasing the Tri-Valley region and CVB members, including area hotels, wineries, golf courses, restaurants and retail. The 56-page guide features expanded editorials, maps of golf and wine country, meeting planner and dining guides, professional photographs of the region, city highlights, as well as an extensive calendar of events. The guide will also feature the Town of Danville, the region’s fifth, and last city to join the Tri-Valley CVB.

Director Bob Clark to be Honored Posthumously by the CIFF
Director Robert H. (Bob) Clark, 67, and his son Ariel, 22, were killed in an auto collision Wednesday, along a stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades. Clark was
slated to appear at the California Independent Film Festival (CIFF), held April 14-22 in Livermore, CA, to receive the 2007 “Golden Slate Award” for Directing Excellence. The award will be presented on Saturday, April 21st in a ceremony held at the Vine Cinema, and will be accepted on his behalf by those close to the director. Following the ceremony, Clark’s classic “Porky’s” will be screened.

Chanticleer Returns to the Bankhead
Livermore, CA – SEPTEMBER 14, 2009 – The world renowned, Grammy Award winning, San Francisco-based, male chorus Chanticleer returns to the Bankhead Theater to open the 2009-2010 LVPAC Presents season only on Sunday, September 20th at 3pm. The group appeared during the Bankhead’s inaugural season and was an instant success with Livermore’s classical music audience. In addition to the upcoming September performance, the group will return to the Bankhead on December 23rd for a special performance of “A Chanticleer Christmas” a beloved San Francisco Bay tradition making its first visit to Livermore.
